endyn ported jrsc???

i was just curious to see if anybody has had there jrsc ported by endyn. i read the post about "the real endyn" and wanted to see if anybody had these mods done or were still willing to deal with endyn. if you have was it worth it? how long did it take? were you ripped off or did larry help you out and give you a good product? i would like to know because i want more from my jrsc w/o nos or water injection to cool it,and with larrys mods you shouldn't need any cooling. let me know what you think... thanks.....

I have had mine for about 10 months. Still only pushing 10psi whihc is the upper limits for a stock engine. The Endyn modifications are controversial around here. Are they worth it? Well that is a good question. Technicaly the modifications are only supposed to realy be worth while at 10psi or better and not being able to measure intake temps myself nor have an engine that can support that kind of pressure I can not vouge for the claims of good to 15-17psi. Over all personaly I think if you are going to run 6-8psi on a daily driver I would not waste your money as you will see no gains.

Whether or not Larry works out of his house to me is irrelevant as I know some pretty kick as machine shops like the one who preps my race engines that are literly hole in the walls but the guys working there know what they are doing 100%. The problem I see with Endyn is you have to buy in to what Larry says 100% or nothing and his attitude can change quickly. Personaly I have learned alot from him regardless if he is just parrotting it all back from his experience.

I spent over $10k with ENDYN to have my motor and JRSC rebuilt. He left me high and dry with a motor that does not perform to the expectations that were set (345hp @ the crank). I was cussed out because I caught him in a lie, and he now refuses to help a customer that looked at him as a "god" and bought EVERYTHING he asked, except an LSD. He told MANY lies to me, and many other people, some of which who arent coming forward as of yet. Oh yeah... and let's not forget about the public humiliation. He posted a thread on his BBS attempting to shoot holes in my story, and publically bashing me... He even put a copy of my receipt online! (Thanks Larry, that only proved I was not full of BS).

Funny thing was, to those people who saw the post before it was erased it made you relize how childish and disrepectful he can be.

hey there. well, now that we realize u have some problems with your car stephen, i am SURE we here on the FI board want nothing more than an oportunity to help you. why not post a quick (LOL) description of parts, settings and problems, as there are a bunch of smart people here that maybe we can at least get some respectable performance out of the car. i know it is frustrating as hell to not have something work the way you expect it to ...

Well I have been thinking about what I want to do. I was going to build a killer motor a few months ago but the purchase of hostboard and the gernading of my primary race engine was a small set back financialy.

What I might do is look for a import shop to help tune this beast. My only problem is detonation right now. The higher I run the octane the less I seem to get. When it does run though it runs like a bear

Thanks for the info Quick. I have been planning to mod my JRSC myself when I get it (next week!) but have been debating lately whether it would be worth it or not seeing as I don't plan on going more than 8-9 PSI. I think I will leave well enough alone and install it normally.

You're still getting detonation with the J&S and a Cartech FMU?? Talk about frustrating. Have you thought about getting the new JR MAP Converter?? Failing that have you considered putting the base 6 psi pulley back on just for peace of mind??

Right now I have Endyn's smaller pulley on the snout of the SC. I also have their stepper pulley but do not have it installed since I can not boost more on the stock engine. Output is 10psi which is right where I want to be. The BTC seems to be doing its job although I have to run it at the 2 O'clock position to head off the low end detonation from idle to about 3k rpm. Now I seem to get detonation every where but it is more prononced on the J&S monitor around 3k rpm and higher.

Since my involvement with Zip's EBL, I was going to wait and cross my fingers and hope that may be my saving grace.

I really wish there was an import shop around here that knew what they were doing. I went to one in CT who had a dyno but pulled my car off the dyno as the guy running it had no clue what tip in detonation was. Go figure...

I have heard of them. There is also another shop just up the street that uses their dyno I believe. So are they any good? Do they know and understand SCers? I can not afford to have them blow anything as this is my daily driver so I need to have a conservative setup.
